Signature Capture

Creating a Digital Signature

To create a signature file, complete the following steps:
  1. On 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper, draw a rectangle about inch by 3 inch to represent the size of a signature
  2. Print as many copies of the box as there are signers plus one
  3. On the first sheet, write the word “SIGNATURE” inside the box
  4. Ask each signer to sign their name within the rectangle, one signature per page
  5. Scan all images (including the first one that just said “SIGNATURE”)
  6. Crop the signatures using the same settings each time Save image files
  7. You should have several image files with the same dimensions
